Our History
Metro Transmission, has been serving the community here in Marion since 1990. We are a full-service automotive repair shop with quality used cars for sale. We have an after hours vehicle and key drop off, just fill out a form or come see us during our business hours. A little about Us:
Our Family is originally from California and we relocated to the Cedar Rapids area summer of 2018 with two of our sons. Our oldest son, Nicolas is currently enrolled in the Automotive Collision Repair program at Kirkwood College. When not in school, he can be seen at Metro Transmission assisting where needed. Our youngest son, Micah is currently a sophomore at Mount Vernon High is very involved with the marching band and choir.
We are very fortunate and grateful because Iowa and the people of Iowa have graciously accepted and made us feel welcomed. Steve has been in the automotive industry for 30 years plus and has extensive knowledge. He worked for the previous owner just shy of two years and when Tim, the previous owner decided to retire, it only made sense to buy the business. Prior to moving to Iowa, Selene worked in the corporate and public sectors of business. Since being in Iowa, she has devoted her time to raising her sons but is excited and challenged in putting her 20 years of experience as an administrative assistant and office manager to help their family business grow.
Our goal is to continue to serve Marion and the surrounding areas with exceptional customer service and providing affordable prices while giving back to the community.
